Have You Hugged Your Exterminator Today?

This used to be on a bumper sticker I had for a long time. I told a story at our BNI meeting this morning that I wanted to share here as well: I GOT A HUG MONDAY! A lady called very concerned that she may have Bed Bugs, so she was invited to bring a sample by for us to identify. It is not uncommon for people to assume the worst, especially with the huge media attention BBs are creating, so we try to allay their fears by being as positive as possible. When we opened her sample bag, it was “only” stored product pests, a result of some old corn cobs (decorative) on her closet floor under a lot of clothing. She was so relieved it was not BB AND that no pesticide was needed to control the situation, that half way out the door, she returned and gave me a big hug! Here at Pied Piper, it is not about the pests, it is ab out the people.
